Jhoanna Christine Burgos Robles (born January 26, 2004) better known as Jhoanna, is a Filipino artist and performer. She is the leader, second youngest member, lead vocal & lead rapper of the Filipino girl group BINI.[1]
She entered as a trainee on Star Hunt Academy in 2019.[2]

Jhoanna's birth name is Jhoanna Christine Robles. She is the only child in her family. Her father is an Overseas Filipino Worker and her mother currently lives in Calamba City, Laguna, where she was also born and raised.[3]

Life and Career[]
2004-2018: Early Life[]
Ever since she was just a child, Jhoanna has been an energetic girl. As a child she loved to sing and dance when there was music, and she also liked to do acting. In 3rd grade, Jhoanna started to join singing competitions at her school. She also started dancing at the same age, joining at a dance troupe that performed during school events. Her mother let her take up workshops to develop her skills in singing and dancing. She also loved to participate in mall shows where she enjoyed being seen by a lot of people.[3]
Her supposed dream was to be a broadcast journalist or a news reporter, as she is shown participating radio and TV reporting competitions on RSPC during her high school years.[5]
In 2018, she auditioned in the Star Hunt Auditions held in Laguna. With her acting skills, she was casted into different programs of ABS-CBN like MMK and Kadenang Ginto where she played recurring supporting roles.[6][7]
2019-2020: Star Hunt Academy Trainee[]
Jhoanna was one of 250 aspirants to undergo a 5-day boot camp, later being selected to become a trainee in Star Hunt Academy in early 2019. Under SHA, she further developed her skills in singing and enhanced her dancing skills under Filipino voice coaches Kitchy Molina and Anna Graham, and dance coaches Mickey Perz and Matthew Almodovar. She also underwent the intensive Korean training system with the help of MU Doctor Academy where she learned the Korean practice and discipline in singing and dancing.[8]
Jhoanna joined her fellow trainees in performing on various ABS-CBN mall shows and other events around the country. She also appeared in a 2019 National Youth Commission event FITFIL: Youth Against Drug, where she was proclaimed as one of Youth Ambassadors. They were also invited to perform at the 2019 Manila Southeast Asian Games thanksgiving celebration.[8]
She continued her training even during Extended Community Quarantine during the COVID-19 pandemic. She was locked in along with her co-trainees inside Camp Star Hunt to ensure their safety against the virus.[8]
On October 10, 2020, Jhoanna became one the last 8 members of Star Hunt Academy Girl Trainees to graduate from the Academy and was announced to officially become part of an idol group.[9]
2020-2021: Pre-debut as BINI and Official Debut[]
On November 2020, Jhoanna officially became a member of ABS-CBN Entertainment's girl group BINI and Pre-debuted with their single "Da Coconut Nut".[10]
On December 4, 2020, Jhoanna and her co-members in BINI signed an exclusive contract under ABS-CBN Entertainment and Star Magic Philippines, ABS-CBN's talent agency.[11]
In their pre-debut era, she and her fellow BINI members performed their pre-debut single Da Coconut Nut and other song and dance covers in various ABS-CBN Entertainment shows like It's Showtime, ASAP Natin 'To, and Magandang Buhay.[12]
Their group officially debuted on June 11, 2021, with the release of their debut single Born To Win in two-part event BINI: The Launch.[13]
