Ma. Nicolette Vergara (born September 14, 2001) better known as Colet, is a Filipino artist and performer. She is the second eldest member, main vocal, lead dancer & lead rapper of the Filipino girl group BINI.[1]
She entered as a trainee on Star Hunt Academy in early 2019.[2]

Life and Career[]
2001-2018: Early Life[]
Back in Bohol, Colet had a normal teen life attending school. Ever since she was a child, she developed a background in singing, thanks to her musician father, who is a vocalist and a drummer. She used to join her school's singing groups and participated in singing competitions to further enhance her vocal skills. She also had a talent in dancing, and used join her school's dance group where they compete in inter-school dance competitions.[3]
In 2018, she joined the Star Hunt Auditions held in Bohol[6]
2019-2020: Star Hunt Academy Trainee[]
Colet was one of 250 aspirants to undergo the 5-day boot camp and was selected to become a trainee in Star Hunt Academy early 2019. She almost got removed from the boot camp because of health concerns but was able to return after she fully recovered.[7] Under SHA, she further developed her skills in singing and dancing under Filipino voice coaches Kitchy Molina and Anna Graham, and dance coaches Mickey Perz and Matthew Almodovar. She also underwent the intensive Korean training system with the help of MU Doctor Academy where she learned the Korean practice and discipline in singing and dancing.[8] She was praised by her Filipino and Korean coaches because of her angelic voice and evident talent in dancing.[6]

Colet joined her fellow trainees in performing in various ABS-CBN mall shows and other events around the country. She also appeared in a 2019 National Youth Commission event FITFIL: Youth Against Drug, where she - along with her co-trainees - were proclaimed as Youth Ambassadors. They were also invited to perform at the 2019 Manila Southeast Asian Games thanksgiving celebration.[8]
She continued her training even during Extended Community Quarantine during the COVID-19 pandemic. She was locked in along with her co-trainees inside Camp Star Hunt to ensure their safety against the virus.[8]

On October 10, 2020, Colet became one of the last 8 members of Star Hunt Academy Girl Trainees to graduate from the Academy and was announced to officially become part of an idol group.[9]
2020-2021: Pre-debut as BINI and Official Debut[]
On November 2020, Colet officially became a member of ABS-CBN Entertainment's girl group BINI, which released the pre-debut single "Da Coconut Nut".[10]
On December 4, 2020, Colet and her co-members in BINI signed an exclusive contract under ABS-CBN Entertainment and Star Magic Philippines, ABS-CBN's talent agency.[11]
In their pre-debut era, she and her fellow BINI members performed their pre-debut single Da Coconut Nut and other song and dance covers in various ABS-CBN Entertainment shows like It's Showtime, ASAP Natin 'To, and Magandang Buhay.[12]
Their group officially debuted on June 11, 2021, with the release of their debut single Born To Win in two-part event BINI: The Launch.[13]

- She, along with Mikha Lim and Aiah Arceta, are the only members to hail from Central Visayas.
- However, she is a Bohol native, while Mikha and Aiah are from Cebu.
- It should also be noted that Mikha is also an Iloilo native due to her mother but was a Cebu-born and raised.
