Maraiah Queen Arceta (born January 27, 2001) better known as Aiah, is a Filipino artist and performer. She is the eldest member, main rapper & visual of the Filipino girl group BINI. She entered as a trainee in Star Hunt Academy in 2019.

Life and Career

2001-2018: Early Life

Back in Cebu, Aiah used to join in their school's dance group, performing in school events like Buwan ng Wika, though she didn't venture on learning other dancing styles like hip hop. Outside school, Aiah did modelling and joined beauty pageants. She won a beauty pageant produced by a beauty product company and was hailed as Ms. Silka Philippines 2018. Aiah also appeared in the TV Commercials of these beauty products.

In 2018, she auditioned in the Star Hunt Auditions that were held in Cebu, first auditioning to be casted on ABS-CBN's reality program Pinoy Big Brother

2019-2020: Star Hunt Academy Trainee

Aiah entered as a trainee in Star Hunt Academy in October 2019, where she was the last to be casted among the girl trainees. Under SHA, she developed her skills in singing and dancing under Filipino voice coaches Kitchy Molina and Anna Graham, and dance coaches Mickey Perz and Matthew Almodovar. She has also undergone the intensive Korean training system with the help of MU Doctor Academy where she learned the Korean practice and discipline in singing and dancing.

Star Hunt Academy Girls Trainee Aiah

Aiah joined her fellow trainees in performing in various ABS-CBN mall shows and other events around the country. She also appeared in a 2019 National Youth Commission event FITFIL: Youth Against Drug, where she was proclaimed as one of Youth Ambassadors. They were also invited to perform at the 2019 Manila Southeast Asian Games thanksgiving celebration.

She continued her training even with Extended Community Quarantine during the COVID-19 pandemic. She was locked in along with her co-trainees inside Camp Star Hunt to ensure their safety against the virus.

On October 10, 2020, Aiah became one of the last 8 members of Star Hunt Academy Girl Trainees to graduate from the Academy and was announced to officially become part of an idol group.

2020-2021: Pre-debut as BINI and Official Debut

On November 2020, Aiah officially became a member of ABS-CBN Entertainment's girl group BINI and Pre-debuted with their single "Da Coconut Nut".

On December 4, 2020, Aiah and her co-members in BINI signed an exclusive contract under ABS-CBN Entertainment and Star Magic Philippines, ABS-CBN's talent agency.

In their pre-debut era, she and her fellow BINI members performed their pre-debut single Da Coconut Nut and other song and dance covers in various ABS-CBN Entertainment shows like It's Showtime, ASAP Natin 'To, and Magandang Buhay.

Their group officially debuted on June 11, 2021, with the release of their debut single Born To Win in two-part event BINI: The Launch.

Trivia

• Aiah is one of two members to have beauty pageant experiences, the other being Stacey Sevilleja.
• Both her and Jhoanna Robles are the only members to have consecutive birthdays: the latter was born on January 26, 2004.
• She, along with Mikha Lim and Colet Vergara, are the only members to hail from Visayas.
  • All three come from the Central Visayas region: Aiah and Mikha Lim are Cebu natives, while Colet is from Bohol.
    • However, it should be noted that Mikha was born and raised in Cebu to a mother from Iloilo and a Naga-native father.
